TikTok is currently testing a new feature that uses AI to generate songs using the power of the big language model Bloom. Specifically, users can provide the text of their song lyrics when uploading content, and then TikTok will guide them through the process of adding sounds to the text using the “AI Song” feature, which also allows them to choose their own song style.
For now, the feature is still not available to all users, and it seems to have issues with off-key vocals.
Previously, YouTube tested the “Dream Track” feature last November, which allows users to create music by typing in text or humming a melody, as well as automatically generating 30-second clips based on the styles of famous artists. The feature mimics nine different artists, all of whom YouTube partnered with in developing the feature.
