AMD has made artificial intelligence (AI) its number one strategic priority, and the Instinct MI300 gas pedal can help the company capture the market, said AMD Chief Executive Officer C.F. Su at the Q1 2023 earnings meeting.
We are confident and excited about our AI capabilities. AI is now our number one strategic focus and we are actively working with all of our customers to bring joint solutions to market.
These include the upcoming Insight MI300 GPU, the Ryzen 7040 family of processors with Ryzen AI, the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC chip, Data Center LVO V70, a data center gas pedal, Versal AI, an adaptive data center platform, and related SoCs.
AMD says AI creates a broader market than the cloud, and the flagship Instinct MI300 gas pedal meets all the requirements of the AI and HPC / supercomputing ecosystem.
Through its subsidiary Xilinix to drive and accelerate work related to AI software and the overall Generative AI platform, the Instinct MI300 will be delivered to the first AI customers in Q4 2023.
