According to various leaked information, Valve Corporation is developing “Counter-Strike 2” (or “CS:GO 2”) and is expected to enter the testing phase soon.
On March 14th, Valve submitted a trademark application for “CS2” to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which seems to further confirm this news.
The trademark application also includes a “related properties” section, which outlines other Valve trademarks that may be related to CS2, including two serial numbers for Counter-Strike and CSGO.
In addition, files related to CSGO Source 2 updates were found in the NVIDIA GeForce Experience update, such as “csgos2.exe” and “source2,” which also suggests that “CS:GO 2” is in development.
According to rumors, the game will be made using the Source 2 engine and the servers will be upgraded to 128 tick to match its competitor, “Valorant”.
